We choose aLow-Carbon Approach

Our digital commitment
What does our Low Carbon approach involve?
At the esf Le Corbier ski school, we love a mountain that’s vibrant, accessible and full of energy. So we wanted our online experience to get straight to the heart of the matter too.

After all, digital technology also has an impact: today, the internet accounts for nearly 4 per cent of global greenhouse gas emissions. We have therefore chosen to develop our website with a low-carbon approach.

A lighter, smoother and more streamlined website, designed to use fewer resources whilst still offering you the essentials: clear information, quick access, and always the desire to help you experience the very best the mountains have to offer.

Protecting our mountains
Anti-litter campaign: Last one caught out
When the snow melts, the mountains reveal the traces left behind by the season. Every year, the esf instructors at Le Corbier take part in the ‘Dernier Planté de Bâton’, a national litter-picking campaign organised in collaboration with the SNMSF.

For one day, skis are swapped for gloves and litter bags as they comb the slopes and the areas around the resort.
A simple yet essential gesture to help preserve our environment and ensure that future generations can continue to discover a mountain that remains as beautiful as ever.
Every little helps
Sort to help preserve better
For us, protecting the environment also involves taking practical action in our day-to-day lives. Waste sorting is part of the school’s routine and helps to reduce our environmental impact throughout the season.

Paper, packaging, consumables: every type of waste is channelled into the correct stream to encourage recycling and minimise waste. It’s a simple approach that involves our entire team.

Because preserving the mountains is not just about a single day of action, we firmly believe that every small action counts when repeated throughout the year.
Giving our equipment a new lease of life
Our outfits are continuing their adventure!
At esf Le Corbier, we are constantly seeking to extend the lifespan of our equipment. When certain items of clothing can no longer be used for our activities, they are not simply replaced.

We pass them on to 3ème Manche, a company specialising in the collection, reuse and recycling of workwear. This approach helps to promote their reuse or upcycling as part of a circular economy.
