General questions

Is the ski pass included in the lesson price?
No. The ski pass is not included in the lesson price and is required to access the ski lifts. Please make sure you purchase your ski pass before your first lesson.For more information, please visit our dedicated ‘Get a ski pass’ page.
Is insurance included in the lesson price?
No. esf does not provide insurance for its customers. We recommend that you check your existing insurance cover or take out suitable ski insurance, such as Carré Neige, before your first lesson.For more information, please visit our dedicated ‘Get insured’ page.
Is equipment included?
  • No. Equipment is not provided.
  • Please make sure you bring equipment suitable for your chosen discipline and correctly adjusted to your height, weight and ability.
  • Ski poles are required from the 1ère Étoile level onwards.

Is lunch included in packages that include a meal option?
  • No. For health and allergy reasons, meals are not provided.
  • If you have chosen a package that includes lunch, please bring your child's meal directly to the Halte Garderie or the Cosmos Children's Club, depending on the option you have selected.
  • Refrigerators and microwaves are available on site.

Is lunch provided with meal-inclusive packages?
No. For health and allergy reasons, meals are not provided.If you have chosen a meal-inclusive package, you will need to bring your child's lunch directly to the nursery or Club Cosmos, depending on the package you have selected.
Do I need to buy a ski pass?
  • Ski passes are not included in the lesson price.
  • No ski pass is required for Club Piou Piou. However, from the age of 5, a ski pass is required depending on the lesson level in which you or your child is enrolled.

Do we need to buy a Handiski ski pass?
Lift passes are not included in the price of the lessons. For Handiski lessons, please ensure you have a ski pass (50% discount available at the lift ticket offices upon presentation of proof of disability).
Do you accept payment by cheque, holiday vouchers or sports vouchers?
Yes. We accept payment by cheque, holiday vouchers and sports vouchers.If you wish to use one of these payment methods, please download the booking form and return it to us by post, together with full payment.

Snowshoe walks

What difficulty levels are the snowshoe outings?
  • Green Trail: Less than 100 metres of ascent. Suitable for children aged 7 and over.
  • Blue Trail: 100 to 250 metres of ascent. Suitable for children aged 8 and over.
  • Red Trail: 250 to 350 metres of ascent. Suitable for children aged 9 and over.
  • Black Trail: More than 350 metres of ascent. Suitable for children aged 9 and over.
Is the equipment provided?
  • Yes, snowshoes and poles are provided.
  • We also provide drinks.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to book lessons in advance?
  • Yes, we strongly recommend booking your lessons before your stay, whatever the time of year – even outside the school holidays.
  • You can book directly on our website if you wish to pay by credit card. If you prefer to pay by cheque, holiday vouchers or sports vouchers, simply download the booking form and return it to us by email or post.
Which payment methods do you accept?
We accept payment by credit card, cheque, holiday vouchers, Chèque-Vacances Connect, sports vouchers and cash.
Is ski equipment included in the lesson price?
No. Ski equipment hire is not included in the lesson price. Please make sure you hire your equipment before your first lesson.
Is carré neige insurance compulsory?
No, but we strongly recommend taking out Carré Neige insurance for your skiing holiday.

Designed specifically for winter sports, Carré Neige provides valuable cover in the event of an accident, both during your lessons and while skiing independently.

Do I need to buy a ski pass for ski lessons?

How are group lessons organised?
  • Group lessons run from Sunday to Friday.
  • The meeting point for children aged 5 and over and adults is in front of the Tourist Office.
  • Children enrolled in Club Piou Piou should go directly to the nursery, opposite the Soyouz Vanguard residence.
How are the Étoiles tests organised?
  • The 'Passage des Étoiles' takes place on the last day of lessons for participants enrolled in a weekly group lesson programme.
  • For children under 13, the medal is included in the lesson price and will be presented by the instructor at the end of the week.
  • For participants aged 13 and over, registration for the Étoiles tests is free of charge and is arranged automatically by the instructors.
Are there any packages combining ski lessons and childcare?
Yes. We offer two packages combining ski lessons with half-day or full-day childcare, depending on the time of year.
  • Pitchoune Package: For children aged 3 to under 5, combining ski lessons at Club Piou Piou with childcare at the nursery or the daycare centre.
  • Kids Package: For children aged 5 to under 13, combining ski lessons with childcare at the Children's Club.
Can I cancel lessons booked in advance?
  • When booking your lessons online, you can take out cancellation insurance to cover unforeseen circumstances before your trip (up to one week before your departure).
  • If you book by post, you also have the option of taking out Carré Neige insurance.
  • No refunds will be given for cancellations due to circumstances beyond the school's control.

Are participants insured during their ski lessons?
  • esf Le Corbier holds Professional Liability Insurance, which covers participants for any damage they may accidentally cause to a third party while under the supervision of an esf instructor.
Please note:
This insurance does not cover costs that may arise in the event of an accident, including:
- mountain rescue costs;
- medical expenses;
- loss, theft or damage to ski equipment;
- unused ski passes;
- or any other personal expenses.

  • We therefore recommend that you check whether you already have adequate insurance cover. If not, we strongly advise you to take out suitable ski insurance so you can enjoy your holiday with complete peace of mind.
